Child Health and Developmental Services include:

• Helping parents establish a medical home
• Promoting preventive health care for all family members
• Providing parent training and information on child health
• Maintaining current health records
• Participating in the screening process (vision, hearing, developmental, social-emotional, special needs)
• Providing dental screenings and treatment
• Offering parents participation on the Health Services Advisory Committee

Head Start services for children with disabilities include:

• Strategies for meeting special needs of children
• Serve children in integrated, developmentally appropriate programs
• Partnering with local education districts to identify, evaluate and provide
• Appropriate educational and related services mandated in Minnesota
• Provide each child with an Individual Interagency Intervention Plan to coordinate existing services of all service providers involved.
