Child Health and Developmental Services include:
- Helping parents establish a medical home
- Promoting preventive health care for all family members
- Providing parent training and information on child health
- Maintaining current health records
- Participating in the screening process (vision, hearing, developmental, social-emotional, special needs)
- Providing dental screenings and treatment
- Offering parents participation on the Health Services Advisory Committee
Head Start services for children with disabilities include:
- Strategies for meeting special needs of children
- Serve children in integrated, developmentally appropriate programs
- Partnering with local education districts to identify, evaluate and provide
- Appropriate educational and related services mandated in Minnesota
- Provide each child with an Individual Interagency Intervention Plan to coordinate existing services of all service providers involved.
Head Start embraces a vision of mental wellness that includes:
- Building collaborative relationships with children, families, staff, mental health professionals

- Providing informative and appropriate parent education/training
- On-going information shared through conferences, home visits, parent meetings
