Golf Tournament

 

On Friday June 26, 2009, Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council, Inc. (OTWCAC) will host our annual Charity Golf Tournament at Perham Lakeside Golf Course.  During the weeks surrounding the golf tournament, we are also partnering with local ministerial associations to raise funds through bowling tournaments, a home run derby and pie/ice cream socials.  This is our agency’s only fund raising effort and we are asking for your support.  Please join us for the events and consider a donation.   

 

Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council has been serving families and individuals in Otter Tail and Wadena counties for 44 years, helping hard working low-income individuals and families successfully resolve emergencies and move toward self-sufficiency. 

 

Our goal this year is to raise $16,000; an increase of $855 over 2008.

 

Last year’s funds of $15,145 served 38 households.  The funds were used to restore utility service or prevent utility disconnections, evictions, or foreclosure. This assistance helps a family maintain employment and stabilize housing.  All money raised is paid out in direct service to clients, no administration or operational expenses are paid out of this fund.

 

We are asking for prize donations and hole sponsors.  Contributions are tax deductible.  Your $200 hole sponsorship includes a sign with your name at one of the 18 golf course holes.  Your prize or cash donation will be awarded throughout the events and used to offset expenses.

 

Please let Nelly Brasel at 218-385-2900, ext 105, know what type of donation you plan to make.   Our staff is available to pick up donations.  Tee time is at 1:00 p.m.  Please post our registration and share the information with anyone that may be interested!  Bring a team or come on your own for a day of golf!

 

A meal and silent auction will take place at the conclusion of the tournament from 5-7pm.  Anyone who wishes to attend that portion of the fundraiser is welcome to join in at a cost of $15.00 for the meal. Please R.S.V.P to Nelly Brasel at the number listed above.
