Mission Statement
Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council, Inc. is a locally controlled nonprofit resource agency striving for the success of the community, empowering people to live, learn, work and govern themselves.
Notice of Service Changes
As of April 1, 2012 OTWCAC is no longer the designated community action agency for Otter Tail and Wadena counties. A new five county agency, MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership, had been designated as the new Community Action Agency for the following five counties: Mahnomen, Hubbard, Becker, Otter Tail and Wadena.
Ottertail Wadena Community Action Council, Inc. will continue to operate as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, but will no longer be the designated Community Action Agency for Otter Tail and Wadena counties. As of July 1, 2012 the following programs will no longer be operated by
Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council:
- Child Care Resource and Referral
- Family Planning
- Family Services
- Weatherization

The following programs will continue to be operated by Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council until September 30, 2012:
- Energy Assistance Program
- Fathers Resource Program
The following programs will continue to be operated by Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council until June 30, 2013:
- Head Start
- Early Head Start
The agency will close by December 2013 |
